The other day I tested two sets of cheap 3200 sticks.
1 set consisted of 2x512mb Samsung TCCC rated at 3-3-3 and the other was a 2x1gb kit of Elixir sticks rated with the same timings.

With my NF7-S i got both up to 215mhz with 2.5-3-3-11 timings, PI and prime stable. Going over 225 halts the system, but I believe that is the NF7 hitting its limit.

The question: It seems the system is slower with 2gb instead of 1gb!? Boot up time is longer for instance. Timings are identical.

Keep the 2gb or keep 1gb?
I will use this with an opty 165 and a DFI Ultra. For overclocking obviously! :)

the benefit of 2Gb wont kick in though untill you're using over 1Gb ram for whatever you're doing.

might be that it is a bit slower generally but shows it's advantage to be worthwile for high mem usage.

dunno, what's your priority?

Atm I probably dont need the 2gb, perhaps I will play BF2 which could make 2gb usefull. In the future, however. I will be doing a lot of work in Photoshop and video editing so I guess the 2gb will come in handy.
