These action films become more and more tedious.. same James Bond international espionage explosions cute girl more explosions no story line wooden actors...wetter than bloody water. Xenu Cruise... oh do be brief...how can this 5ft 3inch closet homosexual be an action hero.

This genre of film is comparable to porn movies, youv'e seen one, youv'e seen em' all. B  ring

Thread should probably have a spoiler warning...

Saw it last night.

All in all I thought it was a good thing, it was VERY much like Alias but I was expecting that being it was directed by the same director (JJ Abrahms), if you're a fan of Alias you'd have noticed it was basically a 2hr episode of Alias with different characters, Simon Pegg's character was exactly like Marshall, they even used the same codenames (Phoenix, Outrigger).

I thought the action sequences were great, when he swings between the 2 buildings I was on the edge of my seat throughout :D I thought there was basically no plot though.

The Jap(ish) lass who blew up the Lamborgini was nice  :D

I think Tom Cruise is a great actor and really works well in thriller movies/high tension stuff, but he's just so, so cheesy in anything that doesn't require him to make his face look like he's doing a big one on the toilet. For instance at the end of the film when they were back at the HQ and his wife was giggling with all his friends, it was so painfully cheesy. They should have ended the film in Shanghai tbh.

I enjoyed it though :o

I thought it was far better than the first two films. A good actioner, but I never thought they added 'action scenes' just for the sake of it, they all progressed the story. For that I credit the film.

I'm with you guys about the ending though, that was a bit tooo.... cheesey!

Yup - best of the three. Superbly done and exactly what you want from a 2hr summer popcorn action flick.

good stuff - a triple-length Alias! WOOHOO!

Go see it asap!

I watched this movie tonight, and it is as good as the first movie, and on the same par. But I did felt that the film needed to be another 30 - 40 mins long as there were a lot of gaps missing in the film espeically with Owen Davian screen time, he did do a good job on his role as making him a cold-blooded sociopath, but we never got an indepth view of the man, plus it never really developed enough with the "Rabbits Foot".

Maybe I was expecting a lot, but it was a good action movie and the Lambo scene was great.
