That could be big for Microsoft depending on how they manage things.

I'll be interested to see if Bethesda are forced to improve their standards going forward.

Believe me, given current issues with the new Flight Sim (see thread elsewhere in this forum) by contrast I would trust Bethesda any day.

Could be huge in the console space. Hopefully they don't interfere in the work of id and Arkane. Less interested in TES and Fallout as I used to be... Other games just do open world a lot better than them.

I think MS own Obsidian of New Vegas and The Outer World's fame too. Obsidian are old Interplay employees I think? Who made the original fall outs. Unless I'm getting my developers missed up. Anyway they're all one happy family now...

Will Microsoft eventually make this xbox exclusive?

Microsoft obviously has much much bigger buying power and can hoover these smaller studios up

There is only one person, two at most working on Quake. Only code changes and skins that's been sitting getting released every 3 months. Doom has way bigger marketing than Quake.

Interested to see where everything falls.

Zenimax has not been the last word in development/publishing though so who knows what this means.
