Getting ready for my xmas pressie which is a Quest2 , got elte Dangerous (had it for a couple of years but never got around to it).
Needed a joystick so dug this out , the USB dongle is long gone.
Dont know if anyone else has a 22 year old precison pro lying around , but thought i would see if i could convert it to USB.
This worked first time:
Get an old USB cable , strip the 4 wires apart
Green
Red
White
Black
Strip the Sidewinder cable.
Red
Yellow
Green
Black
Purple
Dark Blue
White *Not Needed*
Light Blue *Not Needed*
Mauve (light purple) *Not Needed*
Connect them up like this:
USB - Sidewinder
Green - Green
Red - Red
White - Yellow
Black - Black
Sidewinder cable Twist Purple and Dark blue together.
Plugged in Windows recognised straight away.
