But you are selling an item to someone therefore your professionalism (spelling?) is important. If you had the choice of buying from someone with the engine removed from the car or someone unable to remove the engine and therefore requiring you to remove the entire shell, which would you take? It just comes accross as a bit unproffesional and amatuerish which could make people question the history of the engine etc.

IMHO this is complete rot. He WILL come across as amatuerish becuase he is an an amateur - he is a guy breaking a car, he's not a professional engine seller.

If somebody wants to buy an engine from a professional they can go and spend £1000 on one - if they want a cheap engine they'll buy from someone like Tesla.
