monitor that will do 1440 @ 120/144hz and 4k @ 60 (or above)?

I'm looking at getting a new graphics card sooner or later but I'm running a 60hz 23" 1080p monitor, so that needs to change 4k 120/144hz looks pretty expensive at the moment correct me if I'm wrong. So was wondering if there was some sort of halfway house, where a monitor will do 4k @ 60hz and 1440 at 120/144hz, for that high framerate gaming experience, that doesn't cost the earth?

They either support 144hz or they don't, can't get one the does 1440p at 144hz and also 4K at 60hz

really? I'm surprised to hear that. Certainly back in the day, if you dropped your resolution, you could get like 75hz or something. That said that was probably on a CRT monitor now I think about it hahaha
