the 550 is my one,his build is done now as he seemed happy with the spec given earlier. So instead of starting A new thread i will just use this.

Here is a spec for you:
If you want to use your current PSU (550w one) then you could use it in the above build and upgrade the graphics card to this. There is nothing wrong with your PSU, its just not the most efficient.

Thanks for that, I have just read a review on the athlon 620 and I was very impressed so I think that will be my choice of CPU alongg side a 5850,4gb Ram and a 785g motherboard. The money saved on the CPU I may use to get a new psu
