Motherboard suggestion for Zalman CNPS7700-AlCu

I've bought a Zalman CNPS7700-AlCu some time ago, but never got to use it because it wouldn't fit on my motherboard because it was too wide.

Now I'm thinking of upgrading to a Wolfdale E8500 and use that cooler with it. Since I'm upgrading from Pentium 4, I have no idea if that cooler now fits newer motherboards.

Could anyone please clarify this?

If you have LGA775 brackets it will, but you need clearance around the mounting pins, and beyond that nearby components that are too tall will interfere with the heatsink. I can't remember off-hand the exact space required, I'll have a look.
