thought I would start the 2013 thread for motoGP

well that's the first test over and some very interesting times ahead in the coming season.
Rossi back on the pace
Marquez lightning fast straight out the gate
Lorenzo with a fearsome race pace
Pedrosa has kept his speed from last year
Crutchlow ends the test in 5th and is showing sighs of being even better this year.
Bradl is still there menacing but not there yet
Smith showing great promise
Hayden sadly where he has been the last few years
Dovizioso well out of it
and spies left early still not fit in mind and body.

its shaping up to be a good year.

The second official test will be held back at Sepang from February 26-28

Is it just me or do the Ducati's seem to have slipped even further back???

You'd think if you're a second off the pace it should be easier to find a bit of pace relatively but instead either they've lost another second or they've only maintained speed whilst Yamaha/Honda have gained a second...

^^ Excellent pics, Marquez scuffing up his elbow... I think he's probably going to be binning it a bit, gotta get that 250 or should i now say Moto2 mentality out of himself, and respect that beast.

Loving the new Factory Yamaha colours. Remind me a little of the 250 Chesterfield Yamaha, from the Shinya Nakano and Olivia Jacque era.

Yamaha paint scheme is apparently for the tests only.

Anyone in for MCN Fantasy Road Race?

yeah it will be interesting if they now have a major sponsor now rossi is back.
the last time they had one was when he was last there, not good when even the world champ back in 2010 couldn't bring a title sponsor to the team..

we run one at work using there template
we had over 35 teams put in last year £10 per team
winner gets £120 and the money drops down to 5th

rossi hanging the tail out

I've been watching Rossi for years, since a kid really, always supported him. Never have i seen anyone with more balls and flamboyance in motorcycle motorsport. Drifting round corners in whatever weather and be like "whatever, LOL".
Simoncelli would have been the next guy, RIP.

Seriously can't wait for this year's MotoGP, it's going to be a good'n.

This is going to be awesome. Hope the BBC coverage improves. Their production is shockingly amateurish compared to that of F1.

Doesn't Eurosport have coverage? As in Toby Moody and Julian Ryder ? Those two guys are the best !!!!!!!!!! Sorry i'm in the US these days so unaware of what goes on in the UK. We get SpeedTV HD, crystal clear & they use the world feed commentary from the top notch from Gavin Emmett so i can't complain. When i first got here in 2004, i was very disappointed, cos there was no Moody or Ryder and you could barely make out who was who, in fuzzy NTSC. Fortunately they sorted it out after a couple of yrs.
