Lorenzo rumored to be going to Ducati for 2015??

http://www.motogp.com/en/MotoGP+in+the+Media

Has he gone mad ??????
That's been rumored for a few years now...

Be good for him to try and prove that he can win in a different team.
I've been saying this for a long time, I still be believe he's only good on the Yamaha because of Rossi/Burgess...

lol never happen, that's the Spanish press for ya
if he goes anywhere it will be to honda

I hope it does happen and Cal goes back and partners Rossi;)

I want to see Lorenzo ride a different bike, to prove his worth;)

The same with Marquez, he's good, but put him on a different bike;)

Ducati is expected to use the two Malaysian visits to make a final decision on whether to switch all its bikes from the Factory to Open class.

So, does that mean the factory bikes are that bad they are thinking of going to the open class which, i take it, are not going to be anywhere near good enough to run at the front?

I only hope they know something we don't ;) if they make the switch... Maybe a loophole in the regs mean the open class bikes could give them the best chance of wining? or are they just trashing this year to have a years head start on next years bike? - the Fundamental change they need?

Switching to open class will give them more engines per year and 4 litres more fuel, so they could run with more power and not have to worry too much about engine life, be a kick in the teeth for cal unless they win of course lol

Marco Simoncelli to become MotoGP Legend

Marco Simoncelli to become MotoGP Legend
http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2014/Simoncelli+to+become+MotoGP+Legend

heart ruling the head who ever came up with this
yes a great rider and im sure he would have become a gp legend, but he didn't get chance too but that's no reason to give him the honour.
legend is used to easily these days in all sports, same as giving out MBE/OBE's etc for winning a race at the Olympics, all it does is cheapen the true greats of any sport that's earned it over there whole career .

Have to agree with you there...

also
Marco Simoncelli’s introduction as a MotoGP™ Legend will take place at this year’s Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, as he joins the list already including compatriot Giacomo Agostini plus Mick Doohan, Geoff Duke, Wayne Gardner, Mike Hailwood, Daijiro Kato, Eddie Lawson, Anton Mang, Angel Nieto, Wayne Rainey, Phil Read, Jim Redman, Kenny Roberts, Jarno Saarinen, Kevin Schwantz, Barry Sheene, Freddie Spencer, John Surtees, Casey Stoner and Carlo Ubbiali.
Casey Stoner a legend?

and Rossi isn't ?

The Yamaha engined bikes should do well but I have this suspicion that Honda won't allow any of the non factory teams enough development over the season to keep them competitive.

One thing Honda hates more than anything else is being beaten by a privateer using it's bikes/engines. of course no factory team likes it but some take it more constructively than Honda, who take it as an insult...

Good point.

Does that mean if Stoner comes back he loses the "legend" status? ( never thought he did enough to be a "legend" to be honest)

He's done as much if not more than some of the other people listed there.

Not sure why he never gets the credit he deserves.

Its a shame he isn't still racing, would be good to see him racing with Marquez

I agree completely. While he's not the most charismatic, he was an absolute machine on the track, and frankly he deserves it if only for being the only guy to grab a Ducati by the curlies and get a championship. The guy performed miracles compared to those who went alongside him and followed him.

Looking it up they've only had 8 GP wins from other riders since 2003 when they re-entered GP racing.... Stoner has 23 for them. The 2 other world champions who have raced for Ducati have had a total of 3 third places.

Actually Rossi was 2nd for Ducati at Misano in 2012 was he not.

Edit: And 2nd in france too. I do agree that Stoner deserves his place in the hall of fame though.
