Hey all,
Got lots of problems putting these parts together:
MSI P45 platinum bios v1.6
E8400 not O.C'ed yet... 333x9
4GB 2x2GB OCZ Reaper PC8500 HPC
Tried 2 new 250GB sata II drives in raid 0 (ICHI9), installed performance version of XP, had lots of errors:
STOP 0x50, STOP 0x7e, STOP 0x8e, 1394.sys, win32k.sys, irq not less or equal and page fault in non paged area! never seen so many diff. probs!
Tried memtest for 8 hours - 0 errors.
Reset CMOSdefaults loadsa times, still same.
CPU Temp 44C - OK.
Tried diff. version of XP, failed on copying files this time.
Tried 2 diff. SATA II drives, still failing, BSOD's everywhere!
Having no luck, now breaking the RAID 0 and trying again in IDE mode and putting the RAM down to 800MHz even though BIOS wants to run it at 1066 on auto.....
Really need some memory/bios settings for this board...
Was hoping to get this rig runing at 4GHz but can't even get XP running on standard settings yet!
Anything else I should be checking here? Advice needed...
