    Track Details

    Completed : 1969
    Distance : 2.66 miles
    Shape : Tri-oval
    Banking : 33° turns, 16.5° frontstretch, 2° backstretch
    Frontstretch : 4,300 feet
    Backstretch : 4,000 feet
    Seating : 143,231

Final practice is on now for Sunday's race. I'm hoping they can get through it without a full-on Big One™ taking out over half the field, but it's always a hazard around this place. If it happens, you can guarantee that Kyle Busch will be in the middle of it (and probably The Braindead Moron™ as well).

This is one of my favourite races. Between 30 and 40 cars doing approx 200mph laps with only 3 or 4 seconds between 1st and last. It should be good now that the drivers have been given the go ahead to race again. No doubt there will be a big wreck at some stage so whoever wins will need a bit of luck.

The NAPA adverts suck since Mikey Waltrip scaled back on them :(

Mind you, I've just seen one of the best adverts ever. The BK King breaking into Maccy D's HQ to look at their plans for one of the breakfast muffin things, and then a voice-over acknowledging that BK's new menu item might not be original but it is only a dollar. True genius.

Oh year, and Vickers is leading for the moment.

    Hehe, hat on the track.

They've tied the record for lead changes at the start-finish line today. Been a competitive afternoon.

Yep. The hat on the track did not belong to the Cat In The Hat.

Johnson and Gordon is getting interesting. I wonder if a car owner has ever punted his own car off the track?

It's certainly heating up. A shame, because if Gordon could just catch a break this season then all the tension would disappear.

We-e-e-ell....looks like we'll get more than one G-W-C then!

Everyone okay after that little mess. Biffle might be running out of gas - this caution came at exactly the wrong time.

If one of the lead cars runs out of fuel then get ready for the big one. 4 of the leading 5 are gambling on making it.
