Well next year I'm starting a course in photography, I have a Canon EOS 750 and was wondering if this is still any good? or should i invest in a newer model? as i believe it was purchased around the 80's sometime.

Any newcomer advise welcome!

thanks

EOS 750?! Never heard of that. Well do you think you need a new model? I would have thought a digital SLR would be easier to have for a photography course. But then if it is quite an in-depth course, perhaps film won't be a hindrance.

Also can you afford a new SLR? Would you be looking at a Nikon D50/70 or Canon EOS 300D/350D or something more or less expensive?

I can't see how anyone can recommend a new SLR if we don't really know how much of your money to spend for you. Would you need more than the standard kit lens for the course?
