I'm looking at getting a new pre-built system but am getting a little confused as to which processor is best for me.
I've seen 4 pc's with pretty much exactly the same spec apart from the processor. The basics they all have is 6gb ram, 1gb graphics card, 1tb 7200 hard drive, windows 7 home prem 64bit

The prices are all in the region of £700ish.

The 4 processors in question are
1) Intel® Core™ i5 Processor 650 (3.20GHz, 4MB)
2) Intel® Core™ i5 Processor 760 (2.8GHz,4MB)
3) AMD® Phenom™ II X4 830 (2.8GHz, 6MB Cache)
4) AMD Phenom™ II X6 processor 1035T (2.6 GHz )

I know there's the whole number of cores thats the issue with each of them, but im not sure what is best for me.

Im not a big time gamer though i like the odd one now and again. Its mainly to be used for normal pc use and as a media hub.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year to you all.

None of those should come with 6 gigs of ram as they should all use dual channel ram which would be 4 or 8 gigs. 1gb graphics card is very vague as it could be any number of models ranging from good to flat out trash. The 1 gig of ram part doesn't help much if the GPU part is crap. Its like saying "muscle car with a 4 barrel carb" but the actual car is a VW compact with a 1 liter engine:)

Kinda need to know the rest of the specs. If they are all around the same price then the rest of the kit they come with is not going to be the same.
