Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a new system from OCUK, and I think I've got a really good setup for my budget and everything, however I am a little concerned as to the cooling. If I could get advice for the cooler, the power supply, and if the airflow in the case would be effective, I'd really appreciate it! :)

My maximum budget is £1,400 and I'm running with 2 60 Hz 1080p monitors, but this is due to be upgraded.

What are you planning on using the rig for, just gaming or anything else like video editing, rendering, etc?

Have you also thought about building the PC yourself? You'll get more for your money and better quality components...

(I'm looking at you nasty Kolink PSU and cheapo case for a £1400 PC :p)

Haha, I'm planning on using the rig for gaming, streaming and Uni work where I'll be doing game development and 3D Modelling.

I have thought about building myself, but last time I did so, it didn't end up so good and I had to get people to help lmao :) Mainly though I'm just working a lot over lockdown though so I haven't got the time to build at the moment, but I agree it would probably end up being massively cheaper if I did so.

What recommendations would you have for the case and PSU?

The case isn't all that bad really, just a bit 'meh' in the grand scheme of a £1400 PC :p I'd go for something like the Phantek P400 Air or Lian Li Lancool II.

PSU wise... Frustratingly the stock is very scarce most places you look due to the pandemic... But of what stock OcUK do actually have I'd go with any of the below. Probably lean toward the NZXT PSU myself.

Or if you did decide to build yourself, I'd go with something like this... Main differences being mATX mobo/case, newer B550 chipset mobo, faster RAM, 1TB NVMe for boot drive instead of 500GB SATA SSD and much better quality PSU. Case is entirely personal preference but it's a good mATX mobo so you'd need an mATX case if you rolled with something like that. Added the 2TB HDD in as presumed you wanted that for storage? If not then that would save £60 off the below basket.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,364.88 (includes shipping: £0.00)

This is better CPU cooler for only little more than Raijintek.

And wouldn't touch those Kolink Bronzes except with good pole fit for blunt instrument's job.

Really bad time to buy graphics cards for "sitting on shelf".
Next-gen is few months away and current cards, especially overpriced Nvidias, are going to loose lots of value.
Those ones giving beating include also next-gen consoles.
Just for scale GPU of next Xbox is clearly more powerfull than 2070 Super.
