Hey,

I need a new PC mainly to download music and play a few of the latest game e.g MTW 2. Also able to run the new Vista?

Cheaper the better, and parts that I can upgrade later on as new parts come out and when I get more money.

Tower for around (Under) £500 inc Windows (No Screen, mouse, keyboard)

Dont know if this can be done. Dont mind 1 GB, as I can always sell it and upgrade later?

Thanks.

Pretty close (£50 off), although to get proper VFM with this spec you really need to be overclocking, which is very easy and safe to do. If you're not overclocking then someone else might be able to recommend a more suitable spec.

The prebuilt systems offer good VFM also, but Intel core 2 duo's are really the way forward, they're currently best desktop CPU's.

Edit, just realised I forgot the optical drive in my spec too, I'm losing it :p

Add an Optical drive & OS to your spec, and its not so close to the budget.

My spec leaves room for adding a conroe later. Plus 80gb isnt gonna last long with todays games taking up silly amounts, let alone using vista to.

I like the spec, just don't think it fits the budget so well.

That board doesnt support the CPU, and that card is pap, no way it'll play MTW 2, well not nicely anyway.
