You could always try Microsoft Security Essentials if Kaspersky continues to be an issue.

In regards to this virus it sounds like you have one or more nasties. To be honest, you could spend all night on this and still not be sure you've got everything. System restore won't be much use either. Format, reinstall and just be wary about any removable storage devices you've got so you don't reinfect yourself.
