Need upgrade advice please

My PC is now about 8 years old and due an upgrade. I have not really kept up to date with current specs of what's available so need some advice on what to upgrade to give me the best increase for my money.

Current specs are:
CPU:Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail
MOBO: Asus Z77 Maximus V Formula Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
GPU: Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express
MEMORY: GeIL EVO Veloce Hot-Rod Red (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit
PSU:XFX PRO 850W Modular
STORAGE: 2 x 500mb SSD, 2 x 1TB HDD

Resolution and refresh rate of monitor?
PC uses??

As everyone will say to you GPU prices are insane still so incude that in any budget ideas.
