hi

i am looking to fit the nest learning thermostat to the existing heating system.

Boiler : Ideal logic heat 15

An opentherm wiring harness is available for later models but not this one. I am wondering if I can simply replace the existing thermostat with this Nest in the same place.

Can anyone assist?

IF you have an old thermostat on the wall you would just use the wires that are currently connected to that as a power source for the nest... otherwise it also comes with a plug and usb connection.

The thermostat comes with the heatlink which connects to your boiler. what you would normally do is disconnect the programmer on your boiler and wire the heat link in in its place. All the heat link then does is switch the boiler on and off. The heatlink connects wirelessly to the thermostat and its that that does the rest. you connect the thermostate to you home wireless network, register your online account and set up all your schedules from there
