    Hey guys,

Just un-packed and installed my new Netgear DG834G and I’ve just been looking at the vast array of 'genuine' firmware available on the Netgear website?

What's everyone else using then? Which is the best, most stable etc?

Also, can you have a quick peek at my stats? They seem the wrong way round, perhaps this is a firmware issue

    I'm currently on V2.10.22.

    Cheers ;)

    SW.

What do you mean the wrong way round?

Also these are the most stable for me with a version 1 (big silver, v2 small white w/stand)

    Firmware Version V3.01.25
    ADSL Firmware Version 4.01.02.00

Stats look the right way around to me. Go for the latest firmware on netgear.co.uk, it sorted out a problematic router at work which was on the end of a long line.. it's much more stable now.

One version had an issue with the stats being round the wrong way (ie SNR margin was shown as attenuation, attenuation as SNR margin).
This isn't the case with these stats though.

Thanks for the quick replies people :)

The stats are okay then? I just thought the upstream stats were the wrong way round? Nevermind.

I'll upgrade to the latest firmware tomorrow; things seem great atm though :D

    Thanks for all your help,

    SW.

55dB SNR margin? Not in your dreams.
Expect downstream attenuation > upstream as well.
