Its been a while since I built my last rig (about 5 years) so have a couple of questions. Ive decided on the following bit n bobs: CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edtition RAM: 4Gb GSkill DDR3 1600mhz Graphics: Preorder 5850 HD: 1tb Seagate 7200rpm Not sure on what mobo, can't really afford to stretch to, the 790fx boards was looking at the one of the 785GX boards with the onboard 4200gpu to do me untill I get the 5850. Question and most likely stupid one: the mobo description mentions PCI-E 2.0 but the graphics card description talks about PCI-E 2.1. Are these boards compatible?
I would say so, why would they lunch a card that can't/won't work with current motherboards 2.0 cards can run on 1.1 or 1.0 PCIe whatever they was so i think you should be fine
