New Apple Hardware - Today?

I wonder if there will be any updates to the 17" MBP line? Work are due to order one in the next few days and I'm wondering whether I should tell them to hang fire.

I'd bet strongly against it, besides there's no point, if it does what you want now then there's no point waiting. There will always be a better model in a few months time...

There might be nothing then an update tomorrow, for business in particular there's no point waiting around based on rumors...

AppleInsider notes a forum post from a source who has provided accurate information to both AppleInsider and MacRumors in the past claiming forthcoming product introductions from Apple. Apple's online stores are currently offline for updates.

The claimed introductions so far include three models of the Mac mini with one lacking an optical disc drive, a 21.5" iMac possibly carrying a widescreen 16:9 display, and updated AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule models.

MacRumors has received unconfirmed word that the "MC207LL/A" product is a MacBook running at 2.26 GHz with a 250 GB hard drive and 2 GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 RAM.

Waiting for a day or so should be no big issue for business, and if buying multiple machines might make sense.

The whole "don't wait for new hardware arriving" maxim is quite appropriate in most cases, but the day before (potential) new hardware it doesn't work.

I doubt there will be new hardware appropriate for him, but waiting 24 hours to find out shouldn't be an issue.

There was a FFC patent filing that came through today for new Time Capsule/AirPort Extreme so I believe that.

The rest seems logical, but as always we never know 100%
