Hi, I am looking to get a fairly smooth running pc without the powerful sound or graphics cards. My basic requirements are as follows: -

Athlon 64 3500+
512 RAM
80GB HD

So what mobo, fans, etc would you suggest to go with that? I already have a monitor and keyboard/mouse.

Thanks
Andy

What is your budget here and do you have any parts already other than the keyboard/mouse and monitor? An A64 3500 or above is pretty easy to specify but it would be better if you could post a rough budget so that you can get the best performance for your money.

No other components. Basically the PC is not a necessity, but if we could get one for poss 200-225 with ms xp, then we would get it. Its main use is internet and applications such as office, so seperate graphics and sound card is not necessary.

Thanks

If you need a copy of XP then, as here, to buy new the budget is more or less impossible but without it you can just about do it.
