new build problem

Hey,

I've got my new mobo, ram and cpu. I built it it up and all is well.

Amd athlon ii 435 x3
Msi 770 c45 board
2gig kingston 1600

I unlocked the 4th core and now its showing as a phenom ii x4 with cache (well cpuz said so).

Now it is fine as long as I leave the ram set to auto. If I leave it on auto it doesn't run at 1600 but the speed below that 1333? Soz at work at the moment. So can't check.

As soon as I manually set it to 1600 it boots into windows but aero crahes instantly and the ati graphics driver fails.

Check the voltage required on the memory stick, then see what the bios is set too.

Got it working. It appears it was the 4th core giving me the problem. It unlocks ok and boots into windows fine. Maybe voltage on the cpu?

So I've unlocked the the cpu and disabled core 4. So I have a tri phenom ii with 6mb l3 cache.

any ideas guys?
