New computer - Firefox slow, but other browsers are not.

Hello,

New PC arrived earlier today, however firefox (my favourite browser) runs too slow. I am unable to use it.

All other browsers work fine.

Any suggestions?

No, this is a completely fresh install of firefox.

Pc is only a few hours old.

What does "runs too slow" mean?

Slow to startup?
Slow to load pages?
Laggy UI?

at the moment i am using firefox version 38.0.1 and i really cannot see a great difference between this and chrome. i do not run any addons. i sometimes get some lag if i am watching an online youtube clip and i click fast forward through the clip
