    HI guys

Picked up an Opteron 148 the other day, now I need to know a decent motherboard to put it in :D I have an Epox at the mo and have been really happy with it so would probably stick with them unless someone has a good reason not ot. I am not looking to upgrade everything in my PC aws I tyhink most of it should run ok. Also can you recommend a cooler for it. Ia mrunning on air and can't afford to go to Water cooling or anything, although I do want a quietish solution so don't really want to go for the delta fans! I can post the rest of my specs if you want a better idea of what I'm looking for. Oh also just read that these have the FX core, can anyone confirm or otherwise?

Link to an overclock that the guy I purchased of has got http://img278.imageshack.us/my.php?image=opteron1484xe.jpg

would be interested to know what temps he was hitting with that overclock and what type of cooling he had! as i too have a 148 and it's a tad stubborn to go above 2.95ghz have said that i haven't run above 1.475v through it yet

    DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR EXPERT (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-018-DF) Price: £129.95 (£152.69 Including VAT at 17.5%)

    DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-013-DF) Price: £99.95 (£117.44 Including VAT at 17.5%)

    DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-014-DF) Price: £84.95 (£99.82 Including VAT at 17.5%)

Any of these boards will be great for overclocking your 148, but if these are out of your price range then the next best mobo's are the epox.
