Hi all,

My 5 year old 24" 5ms 120hz LG is on the blink so I am on the look for a new monitor.

It primary use will be PC and PS4 FPS gaming

I still want 100hz+ and gsync would be good for the PC side of things,

Resolution - 1080p or 1440p, some say the PS4 looks great on 1440p but am I best to stay native?

Size - is a 27 1080p panel too big as reading about has a mixed bag of emotions but I like the idea of the 27" curved VA panel Acer (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/acer...widescreen-led-zeroframe-monit-mo-119-ac.html)

Pannel - what are VA panels like, I'm used to a washed out tn so anything will be better :) BLB doesn't concern me as I'm always in a light room

Budget is £600 but I know there are options at the 400 mark.

Cheers

Oh Canada!
All I can say is that both TN and resolution scaling have improved lately. My 1440P monitor still looks great when set to 1080P for some games where I have to do that.

G sync is great, you will love it. I have the Dell 27 Gaming monitor (I forgot the name) it's 27" 1440P Gsync and it's fantastic. I just got it.

I would never get another monitor without active sync. It is so awesome.

Also, I previously had a midrange IPS display from 2010 but this new Dell with TN actually has BETTER color than that screen did.
