Just specking up a pc to hopefully buy in next week or so, will be for gaming.

My max budget is £1,800

I currently have a Asus MG28UG, 28-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) monitor.

I was looking at these options:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...x-geforce-rtx-3070ti-gaming-pc-fs-122-og.html

Or

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-gaming-enigma-enthusiast-ryzen-7-3700x-geforce-rtx-3070-fs-1dw-og.html

Wasn’t sure what the best combo would be ryzen 5 - 5600 and rtx-3070ti or ryzen 7 - 3700 and rtx-3070.

Also does anyone know the specific name of the mobo in the first one, states it’s ‘Asrock B550 WIFI Motherboard’, but when I search for reviews there are a few variations, Pro, Phantom Gaming etc….

Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure but could always ask in customer service section of the forum.

4k gaming is gpu bound so it wouldnt make much difference, personally 5600x with the 3070ti.

I would get Overclockers to change the psu to a decent unit like the corsair rm as it probablly comes with a budget Kolink psu.

If you can install Windows yourself ypu can save a good bit as Windows keys are cheap.

Cheers for replies, had it confirmed that the Mobo is Asrock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 AC (AMD AM4) B550 ATX Motherboard.

I think I will go for the 3070ti bundle.

Also the had it confirmed that the standard PSU that comes in the package is: Kolink Modular Power 700W 80 Plus Bronze Modular Power Supply. So £25 to upgrade to a Corsair RM 750w.

regards installing windows yourself, how does that work. Do OC supply an unregistered version with the PC as standard? Otherwise how can they test if it’s all working before shipping? Or am I misunderstanding what happens?!

No idea about windows but the pc would be fully tested regardless, they May just format the drive before shipping or leave an unregistered version on.

Ask again.

I'd be tempted to go for an AMD card like the 6800/XT or atleast get a 3080 as the 8gb VRAM will cause issues at 4K especially going forward.

If you build yourself you could get something like this.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,710.22 (includes shipping: £12.30)

I would definitely try to swap out the 5600 with 3070Ti, i was running a 1600X, OK older cpu but I still think it could have benefited from being 8 core compared to the 6 core.

I doubt it'll matter much at 4K though and even a 3600 would be just as fast.

Possible right there, i was just playing Metro Exodus on all different settings from 4K 20fps to 1080p steady 50FPS, swapping out raytracing, ultra settings and everything in between. And even then the 1600X was barely pushing 50% usage, if that.
