Hi!

So im building a home pc for my friend. Mostly for photo editing ( Adobe LR and PS ) and some occasional video editing. ( Probably in time also 4k video.)

I'm struggling with choice of motherboard. Didn't follow the latest technology progress so i could miss some important facts...

Was looking at:

Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra, AMD X570 Mainboard - Sockel AM4

* Could add additional ram in time.

* In Time if needed NVMe SSD, PCIe 4.0 M.2 Typ 2280 - 1TB. If there would be any gain in video & photo editing...

HDD: Western Digital Blue, SATA 6G, 3,5 Zoll - 4 TB

PSU: CORSAIR HX850i High Performance Netzteil - 850 Watt

https://www.caseking.de/en/asus-radeon-rx-5700-xt-8g-8192-mb-gddr6-gcas-308.html
GPU: ASUS Radeon RX 5700 XT 8G, 8192 MB GDDR6
* Optional for now. Just to see the price range for GPU. Around 400-450 eur for GPU... Suggestions appreciated.

We are based in Slovenia, so gonna probably order in Germany. UK ( Possible Brexit...:) ) is better to avoid in my opinion.

Budget is 2K-2400 Eur. If you think we could save some money on some components and will not have any performance drop, please let me know. :) He is buying this PC for a longer period so thats why im leaning towards AMD...

Any ideas will be much appreciated!

Thank you guys and maybe girls! :)

12 core, Aorus X570 Elite and your sorted - or wifi Pro version! dont spend the extra on the ULTRA!

Same price ^^^ but 3 year warranty, quieter and better PCB/Board design

Gigabytes RMA is unmatched here in UK but EU one is just as good. plus warehouse from china chipments is in NL , like all the other vendors lol.

Brexit plans for RMA for UK buyers with vendors being based in EU like asus for motherboards will work out expensive if no deal! basically vendors will have to pay import tax on returning product, and shipment costs will slightly go up sending it back . Thats worst case if distribution or reseller dont step in first hand- but every one is different

should be able to drop down to 750w PSU to save a little cash
