is about 55 Minute for a WUs....

Yes - tried it this evening.

On my QX9650 (o/c 3.3Ghz) each WU was taking about 65-70mins and now its only taking about 45mins so quite a bit faster.

Tell us what CPU you have and what OS and someone can tell you the best client to use.

I've changed over from their last optimised client, now wus that would take 1:40 ish are now completing in 1:10 mins. crunch three wu's and get one free!

Hi Sir Ulli, long time no speak

Which of these would I have to download for mylaptop (C2D T8100 running XP atm) - is it the 32bit SSE4.1 client?

Also, what's the situation on Linux clients now? I haven't run SETI for ages so I'm a little rusty on prodedures etc..

Best way of knowing is to download CPU-z from here - http://www.cpuid.com/

That will tell you what flags your chip will support.

Yes you can use with BOINC just follow instructions in read me file - v simple.
I have knocked 40 minutes of WU with my 4600 x2 @ 2700MHz. The carp 30 pointers were 2hr 11m now <1hr 30m
