Are you planning on running Vista or XP mate? If XP personally i'd drop down to 2 gig and get some quicker memory and change the Freezer 7 for either the TRU-120 Extreme or Tunique Tower. The Freezer is a good cooler, but apparently spends a lot of its time at nearly full pelt on a quad core and it can be noisey when it gets going. Other than that, nice build!

Tnx for the OS advice. Totally forgot about the 64 bit OS. In that case i'll def go for Vista. About time i gave it a serious go.

Quiet is important (hence the non-OC board) so will swap that cooler around now.

Tnx both of you. Now play nice ;)

If you're not going to clock it Biggles then i should think the Freezer is gonna be fine, the quads are relatively cool when at stock. There's no need to spend more than you have to so i'd say stick with the Freezer and set the cpu fan spin-up in the bios to about 55-60c that should keep it quiet and cool unless you're really doing some hard processing!

It's not a massive jump in price so will stick with it. Both have good reviews. Added some bits. Getting pricey :-s

Anyhoo, ordering that now. Tnx again all.

I'm with you there Billy, I dual boot both XP and Vista Ultimate 32bit and am increasingly leaning towards using Vista more as it just seems more pleasant to use. I was going to go for Home Premium, but managed to get full retail Ultimate for £150 so couldn't say no really! And i do love Dreamscene!
