NEW XFX 7800GT

    hi all just got a new XFX 7800GT and i ran 3d mark 05 on it and got a score of 7000 is this correct

    That sounds prtty good to me. Possibly a tad low but still pretty good. Try overclocking it and see what you get then.

    ive just noticed the GPU core is only cloked at 450mhz and it says on the box its supposed to be 475 anyone else had this problem

    Yup, Perfectly fine. They really start to shine when you overclock them.

    My old 7800gt did 7.2k at stock and 8.8k at 510core and 1.22ghz ram:)

    Well i get about 6800-7000 on my leadtek 7800GT altho it did clock well and pushed it alot higher :D

    what 7800GT did you achive those clocks with and do you think my XFX is capable of those speeds

    Clock speed I don't know. Isit the extreme edition XFX? Because they come from the factory overclocked....What's the Memory clock at?

    yep it is the extreme and the mem is at 1.05ghz

    It's right then mate. As you can see Here The GTX is at 475MHz+

    thought it was 475 as it says on OCuk which is were i bought it from oh well, what sort of clocks are people getting out of these beasts

    i got this card to and it doesnt overclock for nuthing artifacts with core at 470 and mem wont go any higher at all :(

    i havent tried overclocking mine but i dont get why yours doesnt overclock very well as its the nvidia reference design so it should overclock the same as everyone elses.

    465 is all i can get on the core without artifacts

    7.2k stock is an admirable 32Mark05 score, and the 7800gt is a good performer for the price, overclocked it will bring in about 8k.

    Defualt = 7265

    450/550 = 7363

    465/550 = 7518
