I've decided against changing the pads on my 3080 as I think I'd rather RMA an untouched card for memory issues as opposed to fighting it out with Nvidia because I fixed their shoddy manufacturing and they decided to use that as an excuse to refuse RMA.

When it comes to it, their cards should have sufficient throttle facility to prevent damage through overheating.

What are the profits like on here now? I switched over to a pool but I see ETH is climbing again.

How often do Nicehash block BTC withdrawals and why do they do it?

They only do it when payments are in progress and for a few minutes after that.

After going through the hassle if this I've decided I can't stand the coil whine when gaming. It isn't loud, it's just at a pitch that really irritates me. It also makes small bursts of coil whine when scrolling on websites etc. I know all the reviews have mentioned the 3090FE has coil whine, but I thought I could cope.

I've put my 3080 back in and all is right with the world again. Shifting the 3090 on FB or CEX but not advertising that I've done the thermal pad mod. Shame really, as the card is beautiful compared to other cards I've owned :(

Do you have the ETH enlargement pill enabled in Nice hash setting?

What's everyone's thought on mining on a laptop running at 75c all day?

GPU junction it around 67c, gpu clock around 74c and CPU is around 75c.

It's a laptop that I regret buying and I'm hoping to get a year of mining out of it and make around £600 at a steady 34MH/s. Anything more would be a bonus before it dies.

I'm doing it on my new Legion 5 with a 3070, getting nearly 60MH/S and the temps are at 63c currently. I don't think it'll damage it and it's practically free money so why not.

My thoughts too. I've never actually managed to kill anything through overheating / overuse so I'm tempted to just leave it doing its thing to see how long before it dies.

It would go in seconds here but I suspect you’d want to get a bit more for it elsewhere and I don’t blame you! Wouldn’t mind adding a 3090 to my rig as I’ve got the space but no chance of getting one anywhere!!
