Nikon "lens not attached" error

Hi Everyone

My Nikon keeps coming up with the error "Lens Not Attached"

This happens at random. Sometimes the error comes up the Lens will not shoot in Auto, then some time later it randomly starts working.

I've got three lenses, one it rarely happens to, the second it happens on and off and the third it happens more frequently. No idea why.

I've cleaned all the lenses with isopropyl and a lint free cloth. I even lightly used an eraser on the contacts.

Not sure what else I can do.

Is the body just faulty?

The best thing to do is test your lenses on another body. It seems like the lens contacts on the body are not working properly

I was going to suggest cleaning the contacts on lens and camera and also the mount itself.

It sounds like you've done some of that however I would NOT have recommended an eraser.. I'd try recleaning it no using an eraser.

Also what camera/lens is it, you ask if the body is faulty so I assume you only have the one lens?
