Nintendo DS Wi-Fi on an Ad-Hoc network?

Is it possible to use the wireless facility on the DS through the wireless card that is on my computer? I have tried to set it up but can't get it to detect the network at all

Could somebody point me towards a good guide please?

Or you could jsut buy the USB WIFI dongle, got mine in a highstreet music retailer for £30, instant setup.

I didn't really want to buy any hardware if I can help it, it's not my Nintendo and my brother will want it back in a few weeks.

It's very hard to set up with a PC WiFi card.

I've managed to ad-hoc through my Mac Mini, so I'm sure it's possible on a PC. You just need to tell the DS your exact network settings (I had to use the terminal to find mine out).
