Symbian welcomes Nokia’s new Nseries devices

April 25th, 2006 – Symbian Ltd. today welcomed Nokia’s announcement that it has introduced three new Nokia phones to its Nseries range, the Nokia N93, Nokia N73 and Nokia N72. The Nokia N93 and Nokia N73 phones are based on S60 3rd Edition software and Symbian OS, version 9.1 and are expected to be available in July 2006. The Nokia N72 is based on Symbian OS, version 8.1 and is expected to be available in June 2006.

Nokia N93

• Digital camcorder with DVD-like video capture (MPEG-4) at 30 frames per second
• 3.2 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom and Carl Zeiss optics
• TV out
• 262,144 color 2.4" QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels)

Nokia N73

• Integrated stereo speakers with 3D surround sound
• 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics
• 2.4 inch full screen landscape viewfinder
• Integrated digital music player with playlists and FM radio


Nokia N72

• 2 megapixel camera
• Integrated digital music player with dedicated capture and music keys
• FM radio with support for Visual Radio
• High definition 2.1 inch colour display

Guess i'm having an N93 for my next upgrade thenm looks verrryyy nice. :D

There's a N92 first to come out.

Should be soon then if the N93 is out in July.

I'm sure it was the N92 used in Mission Impossible 3, so it is a working model.

Looks like the future is TV phones then huh?..

I heard they'd canned the N92 as their wouldn't be mobile TV support available to use it.

As far as I'm aware, the N93 is the same phone without the TV support.

It hasn't been canned, it just probably won't be released by operators in this country. Italy is on schedule to have DVB-H digital TV ready for the World Cup!
