Norwich union and NCB

For my last weeks of uni i've decided to leave my car at home as it has ran out of insurance. Previously my insurer was Norwich union and I had 2 years NCB but someone just told me that I may have lost my no claims bonus as i didn't renew the policy immediatly.

Surely this is hearsay (I will renew it within a month of the policy ending when i get some money)

Could someone please clear this up for me?

No claims bonus lasts for 2 years. So nothing to worry about.

sounds like BS to me it should be valit for 2 years, Just go with a different insurer.
