I'm going to be working on a viral flash game, that will use an ASP.NET 2.0 back end to write registrations/scores to a database (most likely Sql Server, or possibly MySql or even Access(yuck!) according to the client's budget.
My problem is finding a reliable host for my requirements. The problem with a viral is that it might not take off, but it might go massive and use a lot of bandwidth. With this in mind I need a host that will be able to scale rapidly if need be, but also not cost the earth and saddle the client with a huge bill in the case of a flopped campaign.
Does anyone have any experience of this type of work and if so, can you reccomend a host?
