NT Authority / System - 1073741482

Hi all,

A friend of mine is having a issue with this error 1073741482 on his laptop windows goes to load but then gets this error then reboots it does this in a loop. I've tried to go via other forums etc as people have had issues with this error also. But i can't yet get rid of it? any ideas?


i've disabled internet , anti virus etc , run a scan , run sys restore ...

Think a format is the only way out imo

Ye olde Blaster worm used to cause this, but I've also seen bad drivers do something similar. Have you tried booting into safe mode?

You're probably right though, if you suspect it's goosed then a format is probably your best bet.

Hi theheyes,

I only thought that the blaster worm was effective like way before SP1 and didnt think of it as a threat...

I've done a HP recovery also its got passed the error but has a lot of junk installed now ...

so just going to format sigh
