    Hey all,

My friend in the US burnt a video onto DVD and i was wandering if it would read in my UK bought NEC DVDRW? If so would i be able to rip it and burn it onto a PAL DVD R so i could play it on my DVD player?

    Thanks

    Jamie

All UK DVD players and TV's should have no problem playing NTSC disks.
(It's going the other way over the pond where you'd have problems.)

As far as i'm aware its the coding, NTSC and PAL you have to watch. If viewing on a pc then you have 5 changes of region before windows locks the region, free software is available to get round this. IF you are watching on a tv, your dvd player needs to be multi region capable and either converts the NTSC signal into PAL or your TV is capable of displaying NTSC.

DVD Region+CSS Free will stop the drive from counting down everytime you want to change regions.

If you wish I can send it to you.
