Nvidia Size Bar has been launched, the RTX3060 supports it today with the rest of the RTX3000 supporting it in March through new GPU VBIOS files to be released by board partners.

Nvidia claims they see up to 10% performance gains

To get re-size bar/SAM working you will need the following hardware:

* Nvidia RTX 3000 GPU
* AMD Ryzen 5000 CPU or Intel 10th gen/11th gen CPU
* B550/X570/Z490/Z590/H470/B460/H410 motherboard

Then to enable re-size bar, you will need to:

* Update RTX3000 GPU to the latest VBIOS in March
* Update motherboard to the latest BIOS
* Update graphics driver to the latest game ready driver
* That it's, now you can enjoy up to 10% free performance gains in your games

In practice, the performance benefits of Resizable BAR can vary substantially from game to game. In our testing, we’ve found some titles benefit from a few percent, up to 10%. However, there are also titles that see a decrease in performance, so NVIDIA will be pre-testing titles and using game profiles to enable Resizable BAR only in games where it has a positive performance impact.

Its available on Z390 boards as well, seen the bios update for my board but not updated yet.

yup some guys have it out for z390, hoping ASUS brings it to z390 also. Some nice gains on AMD side for some games I play with resizable bar so would be nice to see similar scaling,

Its a three way handshake for RBAR.

MOBO >>> CPU >>> GFX

You need all three to make it work.

If you are on ryzen 3000 you are missing the middle link, ie CPU. Thats AMDs job to get it working not NVIDIA.

Get it.

MOBO is manufacturer and the CHIPSET MAKER
GFX car is NVIDIA or AMD
Doesn’t really answer my question as to why Nvidia didn’t get it working on 3000 CPU’s.

Yes it did, it's not up to Nvidia... If AMD do not support it in their motherboard chipset how can Nvidia get it to work?
You realise Nvidia don't make AMD CPUs right?
You realise that 3000 and 5000 series Ryzen CPUs use the same chipsets, right? And suggesting that AMD have somehow locked it off for 3000 series chips is complete BS, because it works on AMD cards with Ryzen 3000.

So yes, if it doesn't work with Nvidia cards and Ryzen 3000 then it's 100% an Nvidia thing. At least do the most basic of research before attributing blame and fanboying for Jensen & Friends.
