I'd buy the 2080ti palit (already have a palit1080ti) but I'm frightened it'll need to be RMA'd after a few weeks

Well all start on 2080Ti is from March, so by now I'd hope the issues had being resolved on later revisions. :)

Nice offers but still way too expensive.
Looks like I'll be sticking with the 1080ti for the foreseeable future.

Check EVGA 2070 prices. A couple of errors crept in, probably due to the excitement of outbidding his competitors ;-)

£979 getting better. Is it still a B chip and with 2 fans do these sometimes not achieve solid 2000mhz in games?

Getting very reasonable on the lower end cards price wise.
But if I replace my 1080ti it would only be for a top tier custom PCB 2080ti, probably one with a AIO.

They are currently in the £1300-£1500 range. :(

A guy was wanting to trade my 1080Ti and 450 quid for a 2080Ti, I could have SLI 1080Ti for that. Still so high

Still ridiculous prices for a GPU, especially given the gaming landscape on the PC at the moment.

Wouldn't touch a 2080Ti in its current state either.

I mean, it might not even last more than a few minutes based on some posts here.

The reported failures have put me off as well.

But I'm sure Gibbo is correct though, in that the latest revisions / manufactures dates are probably all good now.
The only thing that worries me is how much old stock is still floating around that needs selling through.

At the end of day we are covered by the warranty I guess.
It's just a ball acre returning something and waiting for a replacement.

A 2080 for under £500 is when things will get a lot more tempting.
    Will it ever happen though?....

Oh I dunno, you will always get discounts on the last gen stock when the next gen cards come out.
The real question is will you want one by then.
That's the problem being a enthusiast, you never want the older stuff.

The last gen is selling over £1000 here :s? You not seeing the prices? Madness! The gtx980tis dropped to £300-350. Problem is the new cards performances are jokes when taking into account price. Either same performance as a 2 year old card for same money or double price for a 30% boost. Very disappointing. Clearly an Apple approach. Could sell a turd with its logo on it for big bucks

Not going to be buying a 2080 ti until ones with a waterbock on them come down.
The release models failing has put me off buying as usually removing the stock heatsink invalidates the warranty and if the card fails for other reasons...

When the waterblocked models come down to <£1000 then I'll move, but until then, no thank you. The only exception I'm aware of of is the eVGa card where the warranty remains intact if the stock cooler is removed.
    Still makes me nervous though...

Why did the 2080 Ventus OC go up £20? Looks like I won't be buying it this time around.
