NVme M.2 and Ram advice

I have everything sorted and will just use my current graphics card for a few months to allow me to save for a mid range card. (GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB GDDR5) I have made a post in the hardware section about a possible issue.

A couple of questions. I have changed my mobo to a MIS B550 carbon and PSU to a RM750 thanks to the advice on here from menbers.

I am thinking of getting a PCie 4.0 500gb M.2 for my system and programs, will add a larger one in the second slot when prices stabilize (hopefully lower by quite a bit). I have two 3TB HDD's for storage. Would people recommend this?

Also for the ram, would people recommend getting 3600mhz ram over 3200mhz? Once I buy the ram that will be something I wont be changing, will just add more matching ram when funds are available.

Thanks again for all the help.

M2 drive you want windows, apps and games on I would reccomened a 1tb.

Pictures and videos on your old hard drives.

3200mhz v 3600mhz not a massive difference in performance get the best value option.

Hi thanks for the advice, decided to go for a PCie 3.0 M.2 1TB for now, £70 cheaper so can add a M.2 4.0 later as my mobo has 2 slots at 3.0 and 4.0. Will just go for the 3200mhz, the different will be massive compared to what I am using now.

In day to day use you won't notice any difference between pcie3 v pcie4

Me too. The performance increase from 4.0 isn't remotely worth it. I went for a good (ADATA SX8200 Pro) 1TB 3.0 for £117.
