O2 LLU speed drop

Been on O2 LLU for about a year and have had no complaints.

The past few weeks however my speed seems to have dropped from 5 mb/s to 3mb/s resulting Web browsing and iplayer etc taking longer to load. The strange thing is the sync speed is still the same and torrents and downloads run at the same speed they always have.

Anybody got any ideas?

Do sync rates drop over time as a norm. I have not rebooted my modem for a couple of months.

Im back to my normal speed. After the reboot.

Most modern ADSL modems automatically adjust themselves to keep the line stable. You have a lot of HEC errors, so your line probably isn't that great.

Over a few months, seeing a few Mbit drop doesn't suprise me at all.

You don't give any error numbers though, other than LOS (Loss Of Signal). As suggested, your sync rate will drop over time to a point where the connection never drops.
