UK customers pay 20% VAT!
USA customers do not pay 20% VAT!

The insane pricing lies with Intel. Every retailer that was accepting preorders for the 9th gen had similar pricing, OCUK isn't an outlier. In fact my 2080Ti preorder was £100 cheaper on OCUK compared to a competitor.
