OCUK's DFI Ultra-D's

    hey, according to the specs you're supplying these with sli bridges?

    are these proper dfi ones in the box or are you supplying seperate ones to use?

    As far as I'm aware, they no longer come with bridges. Even if they did the chipset is hard locked so you can't mod it into a SLI version anymore apparently.

    I'll see if I can get hold of Gibbo for you just to make sure.

    mines about 6 months old from ocuk and the chipset isnt covered in resin so can be modded

    the resin can easliy be cleaned of with certain chemical or scrapped of, unless they have burned it.

    I was under the impression it now uses a different chip altogether?

    Got mine November-ish from purple shirt land... will it be unmoddable? If so I'm in the market for a new SLI board :p:D

    correct made in china now, before it was south korea but still same chip
    just some black resin put over it now


    what revsion is yours? mabaye pick 1 up again to see if its still modable
    i heard the AD0 is the newest revsion has fixed alot of bugs.

    You can just use the chisel and hammer sollution and scrape the **** out of it.

    Anyone know that the Ultra-D from OcUK are good boards? Latest revision? AD0 aint it...

    Not clued up tbh, but Im gonig to buy one of these boards soon...

    Can someone please tell me how to get that chipset cooler off. Those white clips are annoying

    I use a pair of pliers to push the catch together so it fits through the hole and then push it through.

    I usally just push the white clip through from the top side. Then still pushing them, use a pair of snipe nose pliars to squese the bottom of the clip and push it through from the bottom.

    Thats how I just get sinks off on mobo's, gpu's etc.

    They ARE still moddable according to XS users :D

    there's just epoxy over the points and can be scraped off with a razor blade or something.. GREAT NEWS!!

    so ocuk aren't supplying bridges?

    I won't order one from you guys unless it comes with bridge coz postage is cheaper elsewhere. Can a mod please confirm bridges are supplied with these, otherwise you should remove it from the site.
