Well there's this one guy (hardware specialist by profession) was using one in a low power rig. Then one day he turned it on and nothing happened but smoke came out the back. Turned it off, threw the PSU in the bin and checked the hardware. Took out the CPU, Motherboard, Memory and left black marks on the case. He said another similar thing happened to his mate.

Now i'm not saying that a fair portion of these will be stable, it's just that more of them will be unstable than those of a better brand, like Corsair, SeaSonic, BeQuiet or PC P&C.

OP chill out,

my spec is more efficient and cheaper,

Superewza - you haven't done your homework ;)

PC P&C are owned by OCZ and you are saying it is much better? Stealthxtream has 83% power effeciency, and Pc P&C 82%.

And OCZ are very good quality psus and have had less RMAs than corsair ones as one of the mods mentioned a while ago.

PC P&C are still MUCH better than OCZ, just because theyre part of same company that doesnt mean ****, Audi and Skoda are same company (I know ppl dont like car analogies but) also the mobo is much better being the 785 chipset, but OP has already ordered so to assuage your fears, dont worry, theyre still adequate and Im pretty sure OCZ had a dodgy batch a couple years ago, afaik modern runs are ok again, and the mobo is up to the job too
So yeah superewza has done his homework ;)

Yep, PC P&C are part of the same company, but are top quality PSUs.

Thrifty you seem to like you car analogies all of a sudden? ;)

Oh, and Superman's spec is good, but I can't give him an A for his homework as he's nearly £30 over. :p:D
