People talking of getting sacked? Since when has it been inappropriate to have a relationship with someone you work with? Loads of people do it.

Depends where you work - some places have strict rules on this - where I worked last you would not get sacked but you would have been moved to another location.

The OcUK consensus will always be that you should engage in as much casual sex as possible, and then bail out once you get what you want. Which is always meaningless, casual sex.

There is nothing else in life, after all.

And can go wrong especially if you are higher up than her and she works for you. That kind of thing if certainly frowned upon because of how it appears to other staff.

In my case she ended up being a bunny boiler/stalker and when the relationship went sour my company had no choice but to cut a deal with her and get her to leave the company. Lucky it wasn't me they chose to get rid of but it blotted my copy book.

Of course people don't think that, but come on, having some fun with a pretty girl even if it has no feelings involved is good fun! People take sex far too seriously - it's supposed to be fun, what's wrong with 2 consenting adults wanting to have a physical relationship? It's great fun - and the thing with it being at work is that it makes it a bit more exciting.

Smash it.

I've smashed one, and ditched one from work. We are still friends, and go to the pub fridays. Nothing more.

It is your duty, Sir!

If there's no dishonesty involved... but that kind of flippancy is what wrecks society, stable relationships usually mean well-brought up children...and you can figure out the rest.

As I said, provided both consenting adults are truthful there's no problem.

[generalisation] The thing is there's a noticable segment of women that are thinking giving sex gets love, and too many men thinking with their gonads. [/generalisation mode off]

Erm, at a computer.
A big regret of mine was not having a crack at a girl who used to work in my old office. She was absolutely lovely and a nice girl to go with it, but i thought it would be too much grief. Saw her about 3 months ago with her new fella and he was a complete idiot.

Don't dip your nib in the company ink.

Actually, forget it, just hit it. 999 times out of 1000 it won't work, but at least you'll have some fun. Just don't get sacked.

haha love that expression.. This place where I work seems to be full of the most unlikeliest couples... I've never worked anywhere where these so much corporate inbreeding. I feel left out!

I've experienced this (old job in my student days). Essentially I was a pizza hut delivery driver  and everyone who worked in the restaurant were basically hardcore inbreeding.

I always kept my distance and felt lucky to do so as it seemed they all lived for work and then going out after and getting destroyed and all copping off with each other...one of the girls had been out with about 3-4 guys from there and they ALL still worked together.

I was invited out a few times but I was MUCH happier to socialise with Uni friends instead :D
