Steam is a great idea, but the limitations are worreying. Its almost like you are not buying a game any more, just a license to play it.

I know sorry, like windows etc. I didnt word it very well It just seems that now its hit home more than it ever has before. Not being able to play the game you have already bought etc. Just seems a shame really now.

Well i thought id have one spam of tires after a good night on wow, after spamming it about 50 times using enter on the keyboard, finally got it to "download starting".

However its been sitting like that for 15 mins :S

Bought this solely for SP really. COD4 was the best SP ive played in years.

Although, at 47kbs on Steam, and at 3% after 2 hours, it could be a while untill I actually play it!

How come most of the gametypes are greyed out (1:14) and can't you choose the map you want to play?

Yup, that would seem to be the case

I guess I was one of the lucky ones, in that it actually seemed to install from the disk... fairly quick progress and prompted me when to insert second one, etc.

Single Player is awesome - can't comment on Multiplayer as haven't given it a blast yet.

You have to unlock them. You can't choose map, but you can vote to skip in the lobby.
