Actually I think you are mistaking trolls for "PC enthusiasts" lol
Putting the power consumption/heat issue and high price aside, GTX480 IS faster than the 5870

HD5870: min 52fps, max 74fps

Sorry it was mistake on my part...it should had been min/average fps, not min/max fps. But to be fair, while GTX480 is faster than HD5870 at higher AA, it is also priced at £100-£120 higher. If people are paying £450 for a GTX480, they might as well go a bit further and pay another £100 for a HD5970...but that may be a bit overkill, unless the person got a 120MHz monitor or multi-monitors:Well that one result definitely swings it to a definitive nvidia victory. If only I had waited. I feel so foolish for ever doubting nvidia!
By the way, I notice a distinct lack of average FPS.

I'd imagine there aren't many people ordered 470s to be honest.
With a small overclock it is right on the heels of the 480 but £150 cheaper.
I know the 480 can be clocked, but with high temps already I doubt very far...
Yeah, I'm surprised more people aren't springing for the 470. If nothing else, it's more sensibly priced and runs cooler than the 480.
